****Disclosure: I was given an opportunity to test drive this vehicle in exchange of a review. All opinions expressed here are my own and it is honest****
The all new Mazda CX-5 looked gorgeous in sky blue exterior and I felt instantly drawn towards this beauty. Seating five passengers in total, the CX- 5 2014 provides spacious leg room in the front and in the rear. The black colored cloth upholstered seats quite well complemented CX -5’ s blue outline and the result was a stunning view that ensured the attention of anyone who crossed its path.
This was the first time I was getting an opportunity to drive a vehicle that had push button start and I was quite elated at this! CX- 5’s 2.5 liter Skyactiv engine comes on smoothly at the light touch of a finger and is ready for its agile ride. Mazda’s ‘Skyactiv’ technology is a certain approach that focuses on weight reduction, mpg and efficiency of the vehicle. Due to this, driving along in a CX-5 is almost like floating in the air where you feel harmony with the wind that moves past you on the road. CX5 felt like a feather in my arms for all the right reasons, as you can see.
Mazda CX -5’s gas mileage was quite impressive, best in its class with standard fuel economy ratings of 8.5L/100 KM for city drive and 6.6L/100 KM for highway drive. Not bad at all!
Mazda CX-5 2014 is deemed as an affordable compact SUV or a crossover SUV at the base price of $22,995. And the fuel efficiency as an added bonus only makes the CX-5 a more practical choice. Proud owners of CX-5 2014 and people who had driven this vehicle at some point (including me as well) consider it as one of the most engaging crossovers to drive.
My kids loved the cute CX-5 and enjoyed long rides in its company. I never got to listen to their “Are we there yet?” or “Mommy, I am hungry” pleas 10 minutes into being on the road, which is usually the norm. This, my friends, was a great plus! Kevin, as usual was enthralled with the music and the song display on the radio. The displaying of the name of the song and the singer was similar to CX-9 feature, the crossover I test drove a few months ago. My toddler loved asking about the songs and Mommy knew all the answers as she was reading it right off the radio screen! This was a fun game and it kept both my children entertained among other things.
There was lots of space for cup holders and other storage which is a great help for families with kids. The generous trunk space of CX-5 accommodates cargo well and came as a pleasant surprise considering its compact design and all.

I would love a back-up camera on our next car. It freaks me out every time I have to put it in reverse.

We had a minivan then tried to downsize to a car. After only a few months, we went back and purchased a van just like the one we had. We just missed having all that room. It looks like the Mazda CX5 might be a good option for us the next time we need a change but still like having extra space.

That is a gorgeous car! Love how it’s roomy but still small enough that it doesn’t feel like driving a boat!

I’m test driving a Mazda 6 right now and I am really enjoying it. Mazda wasn’t even on my radar for my next car, but after test driving a few with all the cool features it certainly is.
