Broccoli and carrots are one of my favorite combinations in the kitchen. Both vegetables are fat free and low in calories yay!! Also, did you know carrots’ Vitamin C and broccoli’s Vitamin A works as a powerful duo to boost your immune system? That’s right!
Anyway, if you are fans of carrots and broccoli like me, you may like this Broccoli Carrot Salad recipe. Quite easy to make, this one is a palate winner in my house. And if I can get my kids to eat some broccoli with a little bit of help from raisins and sunflower seeds, why not right? 😉
So dig in below for the recipe. Feel free to change ingredients anyway you like to make it healthier, yummier etc..
Broccoli Carrot Salad
Ingredients
One Head of Broccoli Florets
1 Small Red Onion
1 cup Shredded Carrots
¼ cup Toasted Sunflower Seeds
1 cup Raisins
¼ pound of Bacon
2/3 cup Mayonnaise
Directions
Cook bacon until brown and crispy and chop into small pieces. Set aside to cool. Wash broccoli and cut into bite size florets. Chop red onion and add onion, carrots, sunflower seeds and raisins to broccoli. Stir in mayonnaise until ingredients are lightly coated and refrigerate at least one hour before serving.

When ready to serve, sprinkle in bacon and mix throughout.
