The idea of Jewelry in a Candle is not new to me. I have come across them here and there in my blogging life and thought of it as a neat product. It is so much fun to wait for the wax to melt just to see what type of jewelry is hidden inside the candle. Plus I have always loved the relaxation that a nicely burning candle with wonderful fragrance dispensing all around could bring to my tired self at the end of a work day.
When Winston from Charmed Aroma approached me to do a review of his business, I took a look at his website to find out about his product (or may I say, his brain child?) 🙂 . I liked the product, in this case Jewelry in a Candle for a few reasons that made it stand out from others in its class.
First: Every candle is made with high quality soy wax blend grown from North American farmers. What does a soy wax can do which the normal wax can’t, you ask? Well, soy wax gives candles a cleaner and longer burn giving more worth to your money spend and keeping the air clean!
Second: Charmed Aroma candles are made with a cotton, lead-free wick which causes a noticeable difference of fresh and inviting fragrance from each candle.
Third: Oh, let’s talk about fragrance of the candle that I received, named(picture above) ! I fell it love with it instantly. Not to my surprise though, because Charmed Aroma works with top fragrance houses to create unique blends that aim to relax and rejuvenate.
In one of the emails, Winston mentioned that his inspiration to create something as lovely as Charmed Aroma Candles came from his desire to give a memorable Valentine’s Day gift to girl friend, Shindy. Winston fondly remembers the excitement Shindy showed in waiting for the wax to melt to claim her prize! Needless to say, along with making Shindy happy, Winston also launched his business of candles.
Buy a Light, Give a Light
Winston also wants to let my readers know that he is on a mission to develop awareness for a not for profit organization called Liter of Light which installs solar light bulbs in 3rd world countries where electricity is expensive. The campaign is called “Buy a Light, Give a Light” and it works this way- when customers buy a candle, Charmed Aroma provides funding to Liter of Light. In turn, Liter of Light provides bottles and training to low income entrepreneurs in developing countries to start a business installing solar bulbs. I think it is a very noble mission. I feel happy to know that when buying candles from Charmed Aroma, a portion of the money spend will also go towards helping the ones in need. More reasons to buy Charmed Aroma candles, right? 🙂
By the way, the jewelry in my candle is yet to be revealed as I slowly enjoy the aroma of the wax melting inch by inch each day. Yes, I have every intention of making my candle last as long as it goes 🙂
