Next up in my Healthy Cookies series is Flourless Chocolate Chip Cookies and it is equally yummy as the Cowboy cookies which we talked about last time.
To those of you who missed the yummilicious cowboy cookies, make sure to check out the recipe and baking instructions here.
Now, the ingredients for the Flourless Chocolate Chip Cookies is quite easy to put together and bake. It is also lots of fun when your little one is your Baking Assistant. Kevin, my little helper did a very fantastic job of mixing all the dry ingredients together and later on, dropping spoonful of the cookie mix into the baking sheet.
Apple Sauce is one of the common ingredients that I used in both Cowboy Cookies and the Flourless Chocolate Chip Cookies recipes and the taste it rendered to my cookies was just divine. In fact, apple sauce will be a sure candidate in all my future cookie expeditions. It is healthy and at the same time very appealing to our kids’ taste buds. You can never go wrong with apple sauce!
Coconut oil is also good if you want to try something different in that category as well.

I love this recipe. I am a diabetic and it is hard to find “Sweet” recipes that I could use. This one is great. Since Splenda now has brown sugar I could substitute that and have a ball eating it!

This is a very different recipe. I will definitely give it a try, I’m sure that it makes a dense, delectable cookie.

They sound really good! Like the applesauce!
This looks awesome. I love no-bake cookies with chocolate and peanut butter and oats, so I wonder how this would compare.
My husband isn’t a big fan of anything with coconut. Can you taste the coconut oil in these?
No Lisa. You cannot taste the coconut in it at all 🙂
I didn’t know healthy and cookie could go in the same sentence! Love it! I’ve heard of using apple sauce to replace butter. I’ve tried it and liked it. I would also love to give this recipe a try.
