Netflix is part of our day to day life for the past several years now. Reserving time to watch the favorite shows is a must for my children and it is something they are not ready to compromise on.
Good for Mamma because she can use the very same thing as a way to bribe her way into certain things that she wants her kids to do-two way street, know what I mean? 😉
Any ways, let’s talk about some great retro titles that we watch together as a family. There are tons of conversations around shows like Scooby-Doo and Magic School Bus where we have fun regaling all the stories.
My Husband as a kid used to watch Scooby-Doo almost every day and is a great fan of Shaggy and Scooby-Doo. He finds it sweetly nostalgic to discuss the adventures in the show over the years with my son and watch it with him spending quality bonding time together.
As for me, I can’t wait for the new Netflix Original Series, Magic School Bus. It was one of my favorite shows as a child and I can’t wait to walk down the memory lane with the kiddos as we watch. Well, Daddy can join us if he likes 🙂
Okay, so much for throw back and reboot! Let’s talk about present 🙂
Last week, we attended the advanced screening of Dragons, Race to the Edge.
Taking place a year before “How to Train Your Dragon 2,” this original series sees a teenaged Hiccup discover an ancient artifact that unlocks the locations of new dragons, sending him, Toothless and the Dragon Riders on all-original adventures.
My son has diligently watched Part 1 and 2 of How to Train your Dragon when it came out so it was great to go for the screening, he knew all about Hiccup 🙂 The event was at Toronto and we got to walk on red carpet as we entered the venue , literally!
After watching 2 episodes of the show out of 13, we were served snacks and Barbecue. It was awesome! There were games for the kids, picture taking and face painting. Everyone had such as great time welcoming Hiccup and Toothless!
Just so you know, Dragons, Race to the Edge went live on Netflix yesterday. Get your adventure gear on and happy watching everyone 🙂
