This post is also a bit personal and something that is unfolding in my life right now. My son is officially a high schooler! Its been a roller coaster ride so far. Leaving his old school and friends and then moving to a new house to begin a new school year at a new school is a little too much. He has seen a lot of changes in such a short time and  I am proud of how far he has come…

An Open Letter to my Son


As I am writing this post tonight, my heart is filled with a mix of emotions that are hard to put into words. Its been a week since my boy started high school. And yes, I am an emotional wreck. As his mom, I feel it was  just yesterday that he was taking his first steps, and now he has already embarked on a new journey – high school. This is a significant milestone, not just for him, but for our entire family.

I am incredibly proud of the person he has become. My son has always approached life with curiosity and determination, and I’ve watched him grow, learn, and adapt with a sense of resilience that is truly remarkable. High school is another chapter in your life, my baby and I have no doubt that you’ll face it with the same enthusiasm and determination that you’ve shown throughout your life so far.

As you step into this new world of high school, I want to offer you some words of advice and encouragement. First and foremost, be yourself. High school can be a place where you’ll encounter all sorts of people and opinions. Don’t ever feel pressured to conform or change who you are to fit in. Your uniqueness is your strength, and it’s what makes you special.
