How often do you wash your hands in a day? Two times? Three?
Did you know that proper hand hygiene is one of the most preventive measures you can take to avoid getting sick? According to Center of Disease Control and Prevention, hand washing is sort of like do-it-yourself vaccine. Washing your hands regularly before and after certain activities is a great way to avoid being ill and to prevent the spread of germs to others.
So what if you cannot help yourself to some water? Not to worry. When soap and water are not available, use an alcohol based hand sanitizer like PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer that contains at least 60% of alcohol. It’s been scientifically proven that hand hygiene, including the use of an alcohol based hand sanitizer like PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer can reduce the risk of illness.
There are certain times I remind myself and my kids without fail to wash our hands or use hand sanitizer:
- Before preparing food
- Before eating
- After using bathroom
- After sneezing or coughing
- After touching anything that is in high traffic area that may have been touched by different hands such as a grocery cart handle, a phone or a handrail.
It’s not second nature for my kids to do this as you can imagine. They have things to do, places to see. They are such busy bodies and they forget. So, I was beyond happy upon receiving an opportunity to participate in PURELL 30-Day Challenge with my family! Back to School is here and I do not want unwanted germs hovering over to make us all sick. To help us kick off the PURELL 30-Day Challenge, we received some great PURELL products.
What is PURELL 30-Day Challenge?
As part of the challenge, I am committing myself and my family to reducing the spread of illness causing germs. My family is pledging to keep their hands clean by using PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer at least three times a day. We may keep it in our car, attach it to kids’ backpacks and use it before meals. We will try in every which way we can to keep our hands clean with the help of PURELL products.
By the way, you can also participate in the PURELL 30-Day challenge to fight the germs. But first, here is a video for inspiration:
My kids are so pumped to participate in the PURELL 30-Day challenge. And it is fun to teach them that we can clean our hands without using water and soap.
