I can see the end to summer already.
Although I am in denial of my favourite season coming to a close, not gonna lie, a part of me is happy too because back to school is right around the corner! Yay!
August is been crazy busy with work, summer camps and road trips. Yet we managed to binge on some Netflix shows as a family. There is always time for Netflix in our house!
When you discover a new favourite show or movie on Netflix, the last thing you want to do is watch it alone. With a home full of potential binge-mates, the perfect couch partner is just one persuasive conversation away from joining you. Chances are you’ve heard every excuse in the book: I’m too big for cartoons now. I don’t like scary stuff. That movie’s for little kids. Despite the excuses they might bring to the table, no one beats mom and dad when it comes to the power of (entertainment) persuasion.
Kids and I are a team when it comes to bingewatching my favorite show with them or theirs with me. Certain genres are like brussels sprouts: people think they hate them, but once you cover them in bacon, they can’t get enough.
Have you ever wanted to watch a show with your kids, significant other or parents, but weren’t sure it would be their cup of tea? No problem! Just follow our prompts and we’ll give you the ultimate show description guaranteed to end in quality family time.
Goes something like below:
You don’t have to know how to whip up a 5-star meal to watch someone else do it. Follow the recipe above to get the rest of the family on board for a truly Michelin worthy experience and find some exciting new dinner ideas along the way!
Telling your 10-year-old daughter that Rogue One is a story about girl power definitely isn’t a lie, but it’s probably not how they’d describe it on the movie poster either. Hyperdrive above for a map that will take your kids, spouse or parents from a Padawan to a Jedi Master.
Sure you’ve binged you’re way through Trollhunters but now you want to enjoy the fun with everyone. Repeat after me: Cartoons are not just for kids. If that’s not working for you, let this guide be the trick up your sleeve to getting a loved one to join you on an legendary trip to the Trollmarket and beyond.
Favorite Netflix Shows this Month
I have finished watching Queen of the South just last week. This week is all about Marvel’s Defenders. God, I love that show!
Binging continues my friends…
New on Netflix
Also got to watch first few episodes of Atypical and may I recommend this new Netflix Original to your binging list?
What does it mean to really be normal? Atypical is bringing a new kind of family to the screen in the latest original series now streaming on Netflix. Atypical is a coming of age story that follows Sam, an 18-year-old on the autism spectrum and his journey for love and independence.
That’s this month with Netflix for me folks!
What are you watching?
